How to wear white boots
What we love about white men’s boots is that they can be a great substitute for white sneakers, especially during less than perfect weather where boots may be more appropriate. White leather boots for men are rare in the wild but luckily popular boot brands like Dr Martens and Timberland are starting to release white boots for men in familiar styles. This makes white boots a fresh and stylish option to incorporate into your wardrobe.
Tailored and properly hemmed pants or denim work very well with white boots as they help to show off your footwear. White men’s boots are versatile and can be paired with darker or lighter outfits depending on your personal style. Pair white boots with black for a stark contrast outfit. Or incorporate lighter colors like light grey or beige that naturally look great when paired with the color white.
How to clean white boots (and keep them clean)
Keeping your white boots clean is easy with regular care and maintenance. Clean your boots by first using a horse hair brush to gently brush off any dirt or debris on the uppers. The easiest way to avoid permanent stains on white leather is to clean your boots as soon as they get dirty. Remove stains by using white vinegar and a q-tip or soft cloth. Apply the white vinegar to the q-tip or cloth and gently rub the stained area on the boot. Nail polish remover and a cotton ball can be used to remove dirt and stains from white rubber soles.
Keeping your boots out of the sun will avoid bleaching them an unnatural color. Instead store them somewhere away from direct sunlight. Use a shoe tree so that they retain their shape while not being worn.
You can keep the laces sparkling white by bleaching them. Soak white boot laces in a solution of one tablespoon of bleach to 3 gallons of water. Just make sure to remove them from your boots first as it’s not recommended you use bleach on the boots themselves.
